Men's motivation for watching TV shows specified for women

This thesis investigates the motivation, engagement and experiences of men as they interact with the selected television shows, which are presented or conceived as shows for women. The purpose of this thesis is to examine, identify and evaluate the motivation of men as a perceived non-target audience for watching the shows. Using gender theories and the audience in media theories as the background of this thesis, it then presents full- scale research on the TV shows "Sex and the City", "Desperate Housewives", "2 Broke Girls" through fifteen in-depth interviews, discovering narrators' viewing experience and reactions. The empirical analysis of this thesis is conducted in light of perceived and reported demographic groups, keeping in mind the sociocultural context of each series. This thesis examines both socio-economic and gender topics, which are represented in the shows by product placement on the first hand, and emancipatory themes on the other.
Marketing analysis of the ZaNázory.cz project

The bachelor thesis analyses the ZaNázory.cz project, its various parts and its success as well as its target audience. The analysis of the project is based on experience from the making of this project. Other field of interest of this thesis is to evaluate the success of this project in present and its future forecasts and compares the estimated target audience with real target audience at present.
Analysis of a media strategy in a non-profit organization

This diploma thesis focuses on the communication of a non-profit organization with a stress on the area of media used for advertising. The thesis includes analysis and definition of the target audience for Konto Bariéry organization and comparison with the original definition. The thesis furthermore presents analysis of the advertising investments within the non-profit segment and also focuses on the main advertisers who belong to this segment. Based on these analysis the recommended mediamix and concrete media are introduced to effectively address the defined target audience.
Public Relations and Communication in the Health Sector

The thesis describes the role of public relations and communication in the health sector and points at its specifications and differences if compared to the profitable sectors. The thesis analyses the current level of the issue in the Czech Republic, including legal and ethical perspectives of a health institution. The first part of the thesis explains the theory of the public relations and communicaiton sectors and includes a concise description of the health sector. The second part deals with internal, external and crisis communication of individual hospitals and institutions and analyses them through the method of qualitative research. Aside from other aspects, I describe pratical operation of public relations, usage of media communication tools in practice at individual health institutions. In addition to this, target audience, the public and the importance of a good reputation of a hospital have been defined in this part.
Communication of Kotex brand

The objective of my diploma thesis is a complex analysis of communication strategy of Kotex brand, which was introduced in 2003, after a general relaunch. According to gained information I evaluate effectiveness of the selected communication tools by achieving marketing goals over a specified period of time. This thesis should confirm the suitability of the marketing mix applied for KOTEX brand in specific environment of feminine hygiene market considering the limited budget and target audience specification. Practical contribution of this thesis is passing judgment on suitability of selected communication strategy and also recommendation of another new as well as a recommendation of new and proper activities which would be possible to bring to life.
